Membership and fees
How to join StepBridge Australia, the membership fees, what a session costs in participation points, and how to order participation points.
Registration and membership rules

- An application for access to the StepBridge Australia Bridge Club Inc (SBAU) bridge playing platform will be made electronically via the SBAU website.
- As soon as practicable after receiving an application any authorised SBAU admin person will consider the application and determine whether to accept or reject it.
- If the application is accepted a UserName will be allocated by SBAU and the applicant notified that their application for access to the bridge playing platform has been accepted.
- The applicant will be allowed a 14-day trial period for access to the bridge playing platform. The applicant will be allocated 325 Participation Points for use during the trial period.
- At the end of the 14-day trial period, the applicant may become a member of SBAU by paying the annual membership fee (as fixed by the committee from time to time).
- If the applicant does not pay the annual membership fee within 6 weeks, they will not be a member of SBAU and will be locked out of the SBAU bridge playing platform.
- To keep playing on SBAU’s platform, a member must order and pay for a game package / participation points which are available from the SBAU website or from the Shopping Trolley which is on the Information & Registration page of any tournament on the SBAU Platform.

- Renewing your membership: two weeks before your membership expires, we email you the bank details and the unique reference number you need to quote.
- Changing your Home Club to StepBridge: email support@stepbridge.com.au. We then send you the bank details and your unique reference number.
- New members: after your last free trial game, we email you about becoming a member of StepBridge Australia, with the bank details and your unique reference number.
Members aged 90 and older and youth players have their own arrangements; see Policies.
Tournament fees
You pay for a session with participation points:

Ordering participation points
The easiest way to order participation points is while you register for a tournament.
- Register for a tournament in StepBridge as you normally would.
- In the registration window, click the green shopping cart next to Your current balance.
- Choose the number of participation points you want to order and confirm the order.
You then receive a confirmation email at the address we have on file, with the payment instructions and a unique reference number that you must quote with your payment.
